1 to 1 Parent Coaching

Parenting—whether as a birth parent, foster carer, or adoptive parent—can feel overwhelming at times. Every family is different, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. What children need most is to feel safe, understood, and supported as they learn how to manage their emotions and handle life’s ups and downs.

I offer 1 to 1 parent coaching and mentoring that helps you make sense of your child’s behaviour by understanding their unique biology. I’ll work with you to build your confidence in responding in ways that reduce stress, strengthen relationships, and support your child’s emotional development and regulation.

You don’t have to figure it all out alone—I’m here to help

Neurodivergence and Childhood Trauma

I specialise in supporting parents and carers whose children are neurodivergent or have been impacted by early trauma. As a mum of a neurodivergent child, I know first hand how hard it can be caring for a child who experiences the world differently. It can be emotional and exhausting but also the most rewarding and humbling role we undertake.

Taking the

first step….

Taking the first step in reaching out for help can feel really daunting, but please don’t worry. I facilitate all parent coaching sessions personally. I know how hard it can get, the fears, the worries and the doubts.

I will listen to your story without judgement, help you find your starting point and guide you every step of the way.

Testimonials

"My husband and I were at a complete loss as to why our life felt so difficult day to day with our 8 year old son. That all changed when we met Nicola. Nicola helped us understand what was going on inside our son's mind and body. In our coaching sessions she explained some simple techniques that we could apply day to day. It was extremely beneficial to be able to talk through situations and gain a better understanding of the many factors at play. All of which resulted in a positive outcome.

Thanks to Nicola we now have a more balanced household where everyone is happier. My husband and I also have a lot more patience and empathy towards our son. Nicola came into our lives at a time when we felt despair. We no longer feel alone and stranded. We now know that help is out there. On a personal level Nicola is such a wonderful person. She is extremely likeable and very easy to talk to. We connected with her instantly."

As a granny to an autistic child who spends a lot of time with me I have always wanted to ensure I’m doing the best I can for him. I am blessed with family and friends who truly love A too and they all have their own connections with A and recognise the bond he has with grannie Ann. However, as he is developing and starting to communicate using new verbal words and sign language and has new things happening at school and home which have sern a rise in his destructive outbursts which can be upsetting to watch and understand and ensure A is safe and that I know how to handle these to help A and myself.

Discussing this with a younger mum who has an autistic child sign posted me to Nicola’s ‘The Regulated Child’ and as soon as I read her web page I just knew I had to contact her.

I contacted Nicola and requested the free one to one consultation and completed the form giving Nicola some insight into A. On the video call to Nicola I immediately felt so much relief when discussing A with her and her understanding and guidance immediately were great. I then booked a session with Nicola which was based on everything I had stated on the form and discussed at the 1 to 1, this was so enlightening as Nicola explained so much on a level that was easy to understand and relate to concerning A. It put so much into context to allow me to see ways forward for A and my own safety as well as his wellbeing. Nicola provided frameworks to work on to enhance A’s handling of day to day living.

I personally gained so much guidance and direction from Nicola and found she was very good at complimenting me as a granny too for what I was doing right.

    Thank you Nicola
