Workshops & Webinars

I am thrilled to introduce my comprehensive webinar series designed to empower parents, carers and professionals with the knowledge, insights, and practical strategies needed to support children who regularly become overwhelmed and dysregulated. I will show you how to look beneath the behaviour in order to figure out what is really going on. With this new found knowledge you will be able to connect and respond in ways that respect your child’s unique biology supporting them to develop the skills and capabilities that will serve them through childhood and beyond.

  • Some days it feels like you are walking on to a battlefield having what seems like years of defeat under your belt. Parenting was never meant to be this hard, you’re feeling exhausted, deskilled and worried that you are raising a child who is never going to have the skills to manage the daily demands of life.

It’s time to put down your weapons, stop doing what doesn’t work and explore a different way of parenting. A way that is unique to you and your child that not only minimises the difficult times but strengthens your relationship along the way.

    During this webinar we will:

Explore what your child’s behaviour actually means.

Uncover an alternative to constantly dishing out consequences.

Create a structure around routines that make them successful.

Identify the hot spots and prevent them from happening.

  • It’s baffling that little people can cause such high levels of stress! Their go to response seems to be lashing, throwing, kicking, hitting, biting or going in to complete lock down. We can’t seem to identify the triggers and there appears to be no reasoning with them.

The problem is that if all we do is respond to our child’s behaviour rather than being curious and trying to understand what is going on underneath, we’ll always get the same response. If we begin to look at behaviour developmentally as we do when children learn to walk and talk then we have a much better chance of creating happy, successful routines.

    During this webinar we will:

Identify your child’s emotional developmental stage.

Uncover your child’s unique stress response system.

Create demands that match your child’s skill base.

Explore how to respond to your child when they are distressed and dysregulated.

  • Why is it that sometimes my child does what I ask without any problem, then the following day when I request the same thing, they completely flip their lid? It’s so frustrating, I feel like they are just “at it” trying to manipulate every situation to suit themselves.

What we need to remember is that our child are just that, a child. Their brain is still under construction and their stress response system is vulnerable. Every day presents a new set of stressors which impact on how our child responds to our reasonable demands.

If we understand our child’s unique window of tolerance, we can support them to become more resilient and remain regulated when the going gets tough.

    During this webinar we will:

Explore our child’s brain body connection and experience the world through their eyes.

Identify possible stressors that may cause our child to “flip their lid.”

Uncover our child’s window of tolerance and what we can do to help them stay within it.

Consider our own window of tolerance and how it impacts on how we respond.
